Ross Barkley tipped for surprise Euro 2024 call-up after Luton ‘redemption arc’
Premier League fans have backed Ross Barkley to force his way into England's Euro 2024 squad.
Barkley, 30, was snapped up by Luton Town on a free transfer after a difficult year at French side Nice. He had previously endured three tough seasons warming the bench at Chelsea, which also featured a less than productive loan spell at Aston Villa.
However, Barkley looks to have a new lease of life at Kenilworth Road since he was deployed as a deeper lying midfielder by Rob Edwards. After impressing once again in Town's narrow 2-1 home defeat to Manchester City, lots of fans tipped him for a surprise recall in time for the European Championships in Germany.

"Ross Barkley redemption arc. He’s taking England to Euro 2024 glory," one England fan said. "If Henderson goes to the Euros instead of Barkley I will cry," a second added, taking an opportunity to have a dig at the Al-Ettifaq midfielder.
"Great to see Ross Barkley getting love this season always been that player. Let's see if he's in the squad for Euros," said a third. One supporter took the praise a step further by claiming Barkley could even start for England by writing: "If Ross Barkley keeps playing the way he is, could he be the answer to an England problem position at the Euros? Rice, Barkley and Bellingham could work very well."

Barkley recently admitted he is now enjoying his football as much as he did when he was considered to be one of England's best young prospects at Everton.
"It was a surprise because we kept it under wraps, coming back to England, coming back to the Premier League," Barkley told BBC Look East. "I feel like I'm back at Everton. The stadium is very close, the fans are on top of you and it's a family club.
"Luton are a team that's hungry to stay in the Premier League. They've showed the fight and they deserve to be in the Premier League. It was an easy decision.
"'I've found my feet, I'm really comfortable with the team, the manager and the fans have been great and now I'm finding my rhythm."
