Brentford rip into Emi Martinez after last-minute defeat in hilarious TikTok vid

Brentford didn't waste time in making fun of Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez despite losing 2-1 against them at home.

The Premier League sides clashed at the Gtech Community Stadium on Sunday (December 17) as the home side took the lead through Keane Lewis-Potter's first top-flight goal. They suffered a setback after captain Ben Mee was shown a straight red card as six minutes later, Villa pulled a goal back through Alex Moreno.

The game wasn't level for long as Unai Emery's side struck again, this time through star striker Ollie Watkins who bagged his fourth goal in five games to secure the three points for the away side who also went down to 10 men after Boubacar Kamara was given his marching orders in stoppage-time.

It was certainly an action-packed affair with Martinez, 31, getting in on it after a spat with Neal Maupay. After chasing down the ball for a corner, Maupay bumped into the World Cup winner who dramatically dropped to the ground.

Writhing in pain, the goalkeeper was holding his shoulder while the Frenchman looked on with a smile on his face on the way to the corner flag before he was shown a booking.

He soon made his way onto his feet and later claimed revenge on the striker by pushing him in a scuffle as Martinez earned a booking by attempting to pick him up by his shirt. Despite Brentford's defeat – their third in a row – the club decided to mock the keeper for his dramatic fall to the ground.

The club's TikTok account posted a video of the incident with the caption: "All the best in your recovery, Emi!". Their comments section was soon filled with Aston Villa fans who rubbed the final result in their face with one supporter writing: "what was the score again" while another jokingly commented: "all the best in staying in the league".
