Jack Grealish labelled Man City’s worst-dressed star in brutal dig by team-mate

Jack Grealish has had the tables turned on him by team-mate Rodri as he was named Manchester City's worst-dressed player.

The England winger, 28, previously picked out the Spanish midfielder when he was asked the question in an interview in May. He answered: "Rodri. He's awful, awful."

But the roles were reversed when City's social media team quizzed Rodri about his City colleagues this week. They asked fans to submit their questions on Instagram.

One they received was: "Who has got the worst dress style in the team?" And the accompanying caption was: "This question has come in from @jackgrealish [sweat emoji]."

Rodri, who was holding his player of the month award while responding, hit back: “Yeah, they say it’s me but I don’t agree. I think it’s Jack.”

Grealish re-shared the clip on his account with a shocked emoji. He's bagged multiple sponsorship deals since his £100million arrival at the Etihad in 2021 – most notably a £10m partnership with Italian fashion house Gucci signed last year.

Back in March, Puma handed him a British-record contract worth £10m-a-year until 2028 to wear their boots after he ditched Nike. Only Neymar (£23m-a-year/Puma), Lionel Messi (£18m/Adidas), Cristiano Ronaldo (£15m/Nike) and Kylian Mbappe (£14m/Nike) are making more money than him in that department.

Speaking about Grealish's appeal, brand marketing expert Andy Barr told the Evening Standard: “One of the reasons why organisations are queueing up to try and work with Grealish is because he does not yet realise that he is more than just an elite level sports person, he is actually now a global brand.”
