Man City sell out every Prem game for 2023/24 season – and they get new nickname

Manchester City have sold out their available home tickets for every home game for the remainder of the season – and fans already have a new nickname for the Etihad Stadium.

City changed their ticketing policy over the summer, after consulting with a fan group, making the majority of tickets for every game available at the same time.

However, City have held back some tickets for all games to spread the cost for anyone wanting to attend multiple fixtures, and they will put a second and final wave of tickets on offer next month.

And football fans have already come up with a new nickname for the Etihad – which was once dubbed the 'Emptyhad'.

"Fullhad," one fan joked. While a second shared: "Sheikh Mansour buys all the tickets Simon, surely you know that by now?"

"Just proves the point you’re a plastic club and your fans are all glory hunters," a rival fan responded. And another rival fan added: "Once they have a 60k+ stadium capacity that sells out then we can talk!"
