Man Utd’s Lindelof trolled for ‘best performance of season’ in Vogue photo shoot
Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof starred in a recent photoshoot for Vogue magazine – and fans think it’s his ‘best performance of the season.’
The Swedish defender has been repeatedly criticised and lambasted for his displays for Erik ten Hag’s side. However, he has recently become the first choice central defender, after Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez both suffered injuries.
Despite their dramatic victory against Brentford, United have spluttered their way through the new campaign with four losses in their first eight Premier League matches. While he looked to have enjoyed trying on some rather different gear to what he is used to, his latest fashion appearance has only given his dissenters more ammunition.

The central defender starred in the fashion shoot alongside his wife and famous Swedish fashion mogul Maja Nilsson Lindelof. His most daring post saw him go shirtless, while wearing a pair of baggy leather trousers with a matching jacket, next to his wife, who was wearing something similar.
He also went completely topless while wearing a pair of red trousers, before sporting another bold look that saw him wear a pair of leather slacks, complete with a matching unzipped tank top. “The homecoming king and queen of Vasteras have arrived,” a caption from Vogue Scandinavia said.

While fashion lovers have lavished the post with praise, United fans were not completely thrilled. “That’s his best performance this season,” one sarcastic fan said. “Imagine this in the Fergie era. These guys would get the boot, literally, thrown at them,” added another old school United supporter.
“This guy is more concerned with modelling than actually being hard at the back,” added another resentful Red, before a fourth said: “This guy is more concerned with modelling than actually being hard at the back.”
Lindelof has started ten matches in all competitions for United this season, including both of their Champions League defeats against Bayern Munich and Galatasaray. He faces Moldova in a friendly and a vital Euro 2024 qualifying match against Belgium over the course of the international break.
