Liverpool fans couldn't believe their eyes after they were denied an equaliser in their Europa League clash with LASK by an incredible point-blank save.
Darwin Nunez was the man who missed the chance, powering a header at goal from three yards out after goalmouth scramble. But LASK keeper Tobias Lawal leaped across his line and somehow swiped the ball clear, leaving Reds fans on social media dumbfounded.
"How has he saved that?" one fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter). Another commented. "Only Liverpool would miss a chance like that. How did that no go in?"

Others, however, turned their frustration on Nunez, with one even demanding the Uruguayan be sold. "Only Darwin Nunez could miss that chance. A yard out, free header. But people will tell you he's the next Suarez. S***," one supporter fumed.
"Got man missing headers from 3 yards out lol I'm done. Darwin Nunez is f***king w*** isn't he. Like the man has missed more sitters than he's scored sitters for us it's mental not even Werner missed this many good chances he's so s*** get him off and sell the c***," another raged.

Jurgen Klopp's side found themselves a goal down after just 14 minutes when LASK forward Florian Flecker lashed one in from the edge of the box. The Reds enjoyed the majority of the ball in the first half, but only managed to register one effort on target – Nunez's header.
