It’s just over a month until the January transfer window officially opens but clubs right across Europe are finalising their shopping lists. 

Today’s gossip column features an audacious potential Liverpool swoop for Kylian Mbappe as they take on Real Madrid for the Paris Saint-Germain star’s signature.

But a striker target for both Manchester United and Chelsea may be struck off the list as he prepares to commit to his present club.
