West Ham fans in Fulham nightmare as boat crashes into bridge and team lose 5-0
West Ham United fans were involved in a minor boat crash before their clash against Fulham – yet, the real capsizing came at Craven Cottage.
Many Hammers' fans travelled to west London with a spring in their step having overcome Tottenham in their last away clash. David Moyes' side went into the contest in ninth position and their place in the Europa League knockout stages firmly wrapped up.
As is common when teams play Fulham, many Irons supporters decided to have a boat ride on the Thames before they made the trip to Craven Cottage. Unfortunately, those who were involved in the bump went on to see a real disaster against Marco Silva's side.

What appeared to be around 50 West Ham fans were on a boat which collided with Hammersmith Bridge. Luckily, nobody was hurt or injured in the collision.
If anything, people on the boat found the situation highly amusing, as they laughed and chanted until they were eventually able to leave. However, they were certainly not laughing when Moyes' men collided with an in-form Fulham side and crumbled at the first contact.

Five different scorers knocked seven bells out of the east Londoners. Raul Jimenez, Willian and Tosin Adarabioyo all found the net in the first-half, before Harry Wilson and Carlos Vinicius also helped themselves to goals in the second period.
It's a result which saw the Hammers remain in ninth position, when they could have gone level on points with sixth placed Newcastle United. However, it wasn't to be as Moyes' side were outclassed by the improving Cottagers.
Moyes tried to look at the bigger picture and not draw too much negativity from their defeat. "We got a good win at Tottenham. If you had given me two draws in the two away games at Tottenham and Fulham I would probably have taken it, so to get three points is not bad," a philosophical Moyes said.
"Today I think we were below it physically. It was just what we had. Nevertheless, Fulham played well. It went from bad to worse. We'll pick ourselves up and go again on Thursday."
