Dutch giants Ajax continue horror form and go BOTTOM of the Eredivisie after getting thumped 5-2 by traditional rivals PSV Eindhoven

  • Ajax have had a torrid season, and recently fired manager Maurice Steijn
  • The Dutch side just lost to 2-0 to Premier League Brighton in the Europa League
  • Ajax have had numerous issues on and off the field with fan unrest clear

Ajax fell to yet another league defeat that sees them fall to bottom of the Eredivisie after a 5-2 thrashing at the hands of rivals PSV.

Branco van den Boomen opened the scoring for Ajax and gave his side a glimmer of hope, however it took PSV just ten minutes to level the scoring through Mexican winger Hirving Lozano.

Ajax again took the lead through Brian Bobbey before Luuk de Jong and Ismael Saibari wrestled PSV back in front.

Two more goals from the in-form Lozano secured the PSV win and handed Ajax their fifth consecutive loss of the season.

The Dutch giants are now sitting rock bottom of the Eredivisie having won just one game in the league this season, although they do have two games in hand over second bottom Utrecht.
